Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson, the right-handed batsman of Rajasthan was too harsh on Bhuvneshwar Kumar last week in IPL 2019. He smashed Kumar  for 24 runs during the 18th over of first innings. It was Samson’s second century in his IPL career as he scored 102* off 55 with the strike rate of 185.45.

But, a solid century opening collaboration between David Warner and Johny Bairstow within the 1st ten overs of the second innings got SRH victory.

Let us rattle our IPL fantasy league fans’memory, earlier in IPL 2017, Samson had scored his maiden IPL century against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS). IPL Fantasy Cricket League – 3 Incidents of Unique Sportsmanship

The 12th season of IPL got on the move with CSK defeating RCB by 7 wickets in a low scoring affair on 23rd March. The T20 cricket game following this augural match saw a number of big-hitting by Rishabh Pant and Andre Russell who single-handedly backed for their team’s victory.

Victories and defeats are part of any game. The gesture of any player on the field can be an example for the other players. IPL fantasy cricket is a fast game. Incidents in this T20 cricket sport occurs within moments.

Cricket is always said to be the game of gentleman. To promote sportsman spirit in IPL, teams have been awarded Fair Play Award after every season of the tournament. It is for the team with the best record in terms of fair play. The board decides winner calculating the points they get in every match distributed by the umpires. The criteria for accumulation points are like good rapport with the opposition, obeying to the rules along with respecting the decision of the umpires.

Chennai Super Kings have won this Fair Play Award six times in 11 seasons. In the last season IPL 2018, Mumbai Indians won this award. Read on three instances where the spirit of the game and IPL fantasy league was held high.

David Warner hand over the shoe to a bowler in the midway of taking a run

The IPL T20 fantasy cricket fans might remember this one. Sunrisers Hyderabad was playing their second match at IPL 2017 in their home ground. They had a convincing victory against the RCB in the opening IPL match. In the second one, they were facing Gujarat Lions. SRH won the toss and sent Gujarat to bat first, where Gujarat managed to score just 135 runs. The target was easy for Hyderabad with David Warner and Moises Henriques after they lost Shikhar Dhawan early.

One episode that was cherished was the gesture displayed by Warner during the chase. During the tenth over of the match, Henriques pushed the ball down the ground bowled by Basil Thampi. Thampi, in an attempt to prevent the ball, dropped his shoe. Warner, who was at the non-striker’s end, halted between the wickets to hand over the shoe and then finished the run. Henriques was taken aback for a moment, uninformed of what had taken place.

An incident of jersey swapping

Kings XI Punjab took over Mumbai Indians at Wankhede stadium in one of the league matches last season, IPL 2018. MI batted first and scored 186 runs in 20 overs. In reply, KXIP scored 34 in the first four overs before Chris Gayle departed and Aaron Finch came to the field. Finch and KL Rahul put up a crucial 111-run partnership for the second wicket of Punjab. With Finch dismissed by JaspritBumrah, the middle order crumbled after this which resulted in Punjab losing by 3 runs. KL Rahul’s heroic effort with the bat went in vain.

After the match, HardikPandyaof MI and Rahul of KXIP exchanged their jerseys as a goodwill gesture. This is the first time something like this has occurred in cricket but is a common customary in football. This was broadly valued in the cricketing world.

Hashim Amla walks off despite the opposition not appealing

HashimAmla always has been the player to take into consideration in all the formats. It was the match in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium against RCB in IPL 2017. RCB won the toss and chose to ball. AniketChoudhary began the proceedings with the new ball and then HashimAmla edged one to the keeper while aiming to play a big drive. Nobody during a call appealed for it. Even wicket-keeper KedharJadhav didn’t appear too interested.

To their wonder, HashimAmla began walking off without waiting for the on-field call. This renewed the fact that the spirit of the game still is in existence. The entire stadium gave a standing ovation as Amla got back to the pavilion. Punjab defeated the Bangalore by 19 runs.

IPL Fantasy Cricket League – Top 3 Batting Sides In The Tournament

Batting is the most essential aspects of T20 fantasy cricket. A team with a strong batting line up helps it to make histories in T20 tournaments. Whenever we look back at the history of the IPL, teams with a solid batting line-up have gone further to win the tournament mostly.

Teams like Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, who have always managed a power-packed batting line-up, have been two of the most powerful teams in the IPL T20 fantasy games. CSK did not have the best of bowling attacks IPL 2018 but it has experienced batsmen who replace a weak bowling attack.

This season as well, all eyes are on CSK, as it has already won 2 matches and have an explosive batting unit. There have been a few big changes in the squad of several IPL teams.

Taking into consideration all things we will try and determine the top 3 batting sides of IPL fantasy cricket 2019.

Mumbai Indians

They have played two matches and won it easily. Mumbai Indians has got Quinton de Kock in their side this IPL fantasy league. The Proteas wicket-keeper has been around in rich form and if he can play, he can give explosive beginnings to the team.

Mumbai Indians also has the choice of Evin Lewis, who had a fairly good debut season last year. But, Rohit Sharma and the Pandya brothers will be the major threat to the opposition teams.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad was able to reach the finals of IPL 2018 with no David Warner. Kane Williamson excelled equally as a leader and the leading batsman of the team. The Kiwi skipper of SRH ended the tournament as the maximum run-getter of the season. This year, the Sunrisers has two proven T20 performers Johnny Bairstow and Martin Guptill.

In addition, Warner is playing in this season, which adds to Sunrisers’ batting might. SRH has a solid bowling contingent. Sunrisers’ issue has been its unpredictable middle order but batsman Vijay Shankar is in-form giving the team a sigh of relief.

Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions have played 2 matches and have gone into a winning spree. They have demonstrated the world about the significance of experience in cricket. CSK made a stunning comeback in IPL 2018 by winning their third title. Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni were incredible throughout the tournament, while Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo and Sam Billings also chipped in with very helpful contributions.

CSK are heading with the same batting squad this year too. Shane Watson is in terrific form. Dhoni is also looking in decent form, and even Faf du Plessis.

Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina’s years of experience will be handy for the Chennai team. Additionally, Kedar Jadhav is fit and is in fine form right now. Because of their batting might, CSK can be the contender to win the tournament once again.

Though it is too early to say about the teams, but we all are rooting for our favourites. We are sure many of those who are reading this post have CSK top in their list.

3 Reasons For Chennai To Win 2nd IPL Fantasy Match

Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions of IPL and winner of the last IPL season, is in the winning spree. In their first and inaugural match of IPL fantasy, they defeated RCB. In the 5th match of IPL and their second match, they thrashed DC – Delhi Capitals.

It is evident that the IPL fantasy cricket fans are having a great time this season. Many of the fans of CSK might already be having dreams of CSK with IPL 2019 trophy.

Let us take a look at the conditions which lead to CSK victory in their 2nd match and give a little more fire to the dream of IPL T20 fantasy game fans. Read on:

CSK bowlers bowled great death balls

Delhi Capitals ended up being in a good situation in the IPL fantasy league when Rishabh Pant and Shikhar Dhawan were batting DC score 118-2 after 15 overs. It appeared as if DC might make a powerful end and put up a score near to 165-170. But Bravo had distinct plans. Bravo’s first over went giving away 17 runs. And he made a wonderful comeback as he picked up the crucial wickets of Ingram and Pant in his next over. He gave away merely four runs in his 2nd over.

DC lost all of the energy after losing two wickets to Bravo in a single over. In the next few overs, more wickets went down. After Shikhar Dhawan’s dismissal, DC crumbled down and ended their innings on 147-6. That was the power of CSK’s death ball.

CSK had been off to a flier

Chasing 148, the CSK batsmen were aware that it can have tough when the spinners would probably come on. And so they chose to maximise the powerplay. However, they lost an early wicket. This got the bowlers as CSK scored just 58 runs in the 1st six overs. Ishant Sharma, who got rid off Rayudu in his second over, was shattered for 18 runs in his third over for Raina’s boundaries.

Watson and Raina set an ideal platform for the upcoming batsmen as the needed run-rate was brought down below seven. Following the powerplay, Watson shattered Mishra for two sixes in an over but got out in the same over for 44 off 26 balls. The wise tactics from CSK to get off to a flier was one of the primary reasons why they were able to chase the given total.

Ideal Finish by MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav

Once Shane Watson and Suresh Raina arrange the stage for the other cricketers, it was up to Kedar Jadhav and Dhoni to end the game, and they didn’t fail the Chennai fans. We have experienced many times these two ending games in the Indian tones and they did the same for CSK in their 2nd game.

The 48 run collaboration between Jadhav and Dhoni where Dhoni hit 32 runs off 35 balls was crucial for CSK’s second win of this IPL season.
