Afghanistan appeared in the 12th edition of the Asia Cup which was held in the year 2014, for the first time. The second time it appeared at Asia Cup in 2016 which held for the first time in T20 format. And Asia Cup 2018 is the third appearance for Afghanistan team, which played in ODI format.
