It was the 272nd match and 263rd innings of Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian skipper, where he scored 51 runs of 110 balls and he completed his 10000 runs. But sadly, India lost the match. Sri Lanka chased 220 runs made by India and won by 4 wickets and with 12 balls remaining.

RT Ponting – Australia

It was 22nd ODI match of Group A between Australia and South Africa at ICC World Cup in Basseterre on March 24 2007. It was the 272nd match and 266th innings of Ricky Ponting, the former Australian skipper, where he scored 91 runs of 91 balls and he completed his fastest 10000 runs. Australia won the match by 83 runs.

JH Kallis – South Africa

It was 3rd ODI match between Australia and South Africa when South Africa was touring Australia at Sydney on January 23 2009. It was the 286th match and 272nd innings of Jacques Kallis, the former captain of South African team, where he scored 60 runs of 72 balls and he completed his fastest 10000 runs. South Africa won the match by 3 wickets with 21 balls remaining.

MS Dhoni – India

It was the 2nd ODI match between India and England, where India was touring Ireland and England in London on July 14, 2018. It was the 320th match and 273rd innings of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian team, where he scored 37 runs of 59 balls and he completed his fastest 10000 runs. England won the match by 86 runs.

BC Lara – West Indies

It was the 5th ODI match between West Indies and Pakistan where West Indies was on tour of Pakistan at Karachi on December 16, 2006. It was the 287th match and 278th innings of Brian Lara, the former skipper of West Indies, where he scored 44 runs of 55 balls and he completed his fastest 10000 runs. Pakistan won the match by 7 wickets with 19 balls remaining.

CH Gayle – West Indies

It was the 4th ODI match between England and West Indies, where England was touring Windies at St George’s on February 27, 2019. It was the 288th match and 282nd innings of Chris Gayle, the Universe Boss, where he scored 162 runs of 97 balls and he completed his fastest 10000 runs. Sadly enough, England won the thrilling match by 29 runs in spite of Gayle’s record.

R Dravid – India

It was the 3rd ODI match of Sri Lanka and India where Sri Lanka was on tour of India at Margao on February 14, 2007. It was the 309th match and 287th innings of Rahul Dravid, known as Mr. Dependable for the Indian cricket team, where he scored 66 runs of 82 balls and he completed his fastest 10000 runs. India won the match by 5 wickets with 21 balls remaining.
