When Virender Sehwag became the second double centurion in ODI cricket in 8 December 2011, Rohit Sharma was batting at the other end – 219 vs. West Indies of 156 balls in Indore. He hit 25 fours and 7 sixes.

Rohit Sharma (209, 264)

In 2 November 2013, Rohit Sharma took a liking to the Australian attack as he carted them around the Chinnaswamy stadium to become the third Indian to score a double hundred – 209 vs. Australia of 158 balls in Bengaluru. He hit 12 fours and 16 sixes.

In 13 November 2014, Rohit Sharma again registered the highest individual score in ODIs – 264 vs. Sri Lanka of 173 balls in Kolkata. He hit 33 fours and 9 sixes.

Chris Gayle was the first non-Indian to score a double ton on 24 February 2015, during the 2015 World Cup – 215 vs. Zimbabwe of 147 balls in Canberra. He hit 10 fours and 16 sixes.

Martin Guptill (237*)

West Indies were at the receiving end of a second double ton as Martin Guptill on 21 March 2015 powered New Zealand into the semi-final – 237* vs. West Indies of 163 balls in Wellington. He hit 24 fours and 11 sixes.

Rohit Sharma (208*)

Yet again Rohit Sharma does it. Rohit Sharma became the first to score three double tons on 13 December 2017 when he tore apart a Sri Lankan attack – 208* vs. Sri Lanka of 153 balls in Mohali. He hit 13 fours and 12 sixes during this match.

Fakhar Zaman (210*)

Fakhar Zaman scored the first double century by any Pakistan batsmen on 20 July 2018 vs. Zimbabwe, scoring 210* of 156 balls in Bulawayo. He hit 24 fours and 5 sixes.
