Simple rules, skillful techniques make the game a favorite for all players and fans as well. with a pair of bat and ball, any person who is fit enough to swing and hit can start playing cricket. Fantasy cricket games have further increased the popularity of the game. But to play the game having the bat and ball is not enough. You need to know the dismissal signals as well!

Wickets play a crucial part in every cricket match. In a live match, umpires are the ones who gives the signals at the very right time and tells us about the wickets that are down. Boundaries runs, bouncers, powerplay, penalties and dead balls – everything that you need to know about the ongoing match is informed by the umpires. So, in short, knowing the umpire’s signals is crucial even for while playing fantasy cricket matches.

If you misunderstand the signals, then you end up interpreting the results of the game wrong! Fantasy games can a disaster if you don’t know whether your team’s player is signaled out or has scored a boundary!

Take a brief look at some of the common signals that you should be knowing if you want to play fantasy cricket leagues.

Out:

As soon as you see the umpire lifting an index finger of any one of the hands in the air you must know that the player is out. Certainly, the most feared signal of all fantasy game lovers. The decision of announcing a “not out” can easily be done verbally. When thousands and millions of people keep staring at the umpire for one signal, just putting up an index finger us enough to tell the fate of the player.

No-ball:

When the leg comes ahead of the crease while bowling, then the same is considered as “no ball.” The signal which is important in this case is holding of the arm horizontally at 90 degree. Whenever you find the umpire doing the same, be assured that it’s a no ball!

Wide-ball:

This is one of the best signals that every fantasy cricket league player waits for. When you see the umpire spreading out his hands horizontally, then be sure that it’s a wide ball. Why should you be happy about it? Because a wide ball doesn’t count the ball and gives the team an extra run! Something good that needs to be celebrated.

Four runs:

Whenever the ball goes across the boundary or touches the fence of the boundary, it’s a four! And certainly, it’s a reason to celebrate. The umpire generally signals by waving his arms back and front that the ball has gone in for four runs. This is a crucial signal for online fantasy game players.

Six runs:

Whenever the ball goes out of the crease then the ball is going out for a boundary. This is a very important signal and the umpires generally raise both the arms directly above their head to signal the six runs that the person is getting.

The time when Dinesh Karthik was trying to make a mark for himself, MS Dhoni came into the picture. From the moment Dhoni got into the Indian cricket team, all eyes remain fixated on his striking performance. Even when Dhoni retired from the tests, selectors took Wriddhiman instead of Karthik! Brad Hodge

Lara managed to pull out thousands of runs effortlessly. However, the same cant be commented about Chanderpaul. He might have been having lots of runs in his bucket, however he was not a pleasing batsman. Rather in comparison to Lara, he was a more consistent player. Alas, his consistency was overshadowed by Lara’s terrific performance.

Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma

Rahul Dravid being one of them! Fantasy cricket in India would have attained more popularity if they would have been playing presently.

Dale Steyn vs Morne Morkel

Fantasy XI online websites: Platforms for you to play Fantasy XI

The mobile, Android/iOS 11Wickets App is one of the fastest growing fantasy league platforms in India. Soon after picking out a team, it is advisable to join a cash contest to win money and each contest possesses an entry fee.

Fact: Be familiar with restrictions put up by fantasy cricket platforms

Prior to picking your team you should be familiar with constraints put up by platforms. 11Wickets, for example, permits maximum of seven players of one team. Furthermore, the team must have one wicket-keeper and minimum of three batsmen, one all-rounder and three bowlers.

Dos: Fantasy XI: Tips to keep in mind while selecting batsmen

When it comes to selecting a batsman, it is essential to pick out someone who comes top of the order and can ensure that the side get to good totals. Batsmen, who stay on the pitch longer, gives optimum points. A wicket-keeper who can be capable behind the stumps and with the bat is essential. If he comes to bat on top of, then it is a lot better.

Options: Ways to get all-round and bowling choices right

All-rounders are the most precious players in fantasy league, since they are probably involved in both batting and bowling departments. You should pick a cricketer who bats at number five or six. You need to pick bowlers who can get wickets, and bowl at the death. As per the points system, wickets are appraised more than any other aspect.

Don’ts: What not to do while picking out a side?

Frequently we see fans getting lured to pick favourites over the ones who are able to have an effect. Fans must not pick their favourite player if he or she isn’t in form and cannot perform well. Choosing more players from a favourite side over better available choices is also a common blunder. One should also not go for all-rounders, who may possibly only bat or bowl. Equilibrium is essential in the fantasy cricket game team.

Factors: Other essential factors to be aware of

Pitch conditions and weather are very important aspects in fantasy games that should to be taken into account as well. Further, the need for the venue and what it is recognized as, become essential while picking bowlers particularly. If a player is injury-prone or is uncertain for a tie then one ought to avoid him.

Deciding on the best skipper (preferably an opener or an all-rounder) is actually essential.
