Debut in Ranji trophy

Hardik Pandya made his Ranji debut for Baroda against Madhya Pradesh in the year 2013. Baroda won the match but Hardik failed to make an impression as he scored just 1 and 3 runs in both innings respectively.

Entry in Big League

Head coach Ricky Ponting short-listed Hardik after going through the footage of more than 50 short-listed cricketers ahead of the IPL Season 8 player auction in February. He was later bought by the franchise at the base price of 10 lakhs.

Rise to fame

After toiling hard in the domestic circuit since 2013, Hardik Pandya was bought by Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2015 season. He did not let down and justified his talent. His royal performances won him two ‘man of the match’ awards in the IPL.
