Upul Tharanga & Tillakaratne Dilshan
Named amongst the greatest Sri Lankan batsman, the duo Upul Tharanga&Tillakaratne Dilshan holds the third spot in this list. On 10 March 2011, they recorded the third highest partnership of 282 runs at 1st wicket partnership. They were playing against Zimbabwe at Pallekele during the 26th Match, Group A. The Lankans won the match by 139 runs.
David Warner & Steven Smith
The terrific Australian duo, David Warner & Steven Smith hold the fourth position in this record. On 4 March 2015, they recorded the fourth highest partnership of 260 runs at 2nd wicket partnership. They were playing against Afghanistan at Perth during the 26th Match, Pool A. The Australian won the match by 275 runs.
David Miller & Jean-Paul Duminy
The South African stars, David Miller &Jean-Paul Duminy hold the fifth position in this record. On 15 February 2015, they recorded the fifth highest partnership of 256* runs in world cup cricket at 5th wicket partnership. They were playing against Zimbabwe at Hamilton during the 3rd Match, Pool B. The South Africans won the match by 62 runs.
Hashim Amla &Faf du Plessis
Another brilliant South African pair, Hashim Amla &Faf du Plessis are the sixth in this list. On 3 March 2015, they recorded the sixth highest partnership of 247 runs in world cup cricket at 2nd wicket partnership. They were playing against Ireland at Canberra during the 24th Match, Pool B. The South Africans won the match by 201 runs.
Sachin Tendulkar & Sourav Ganguly
The fantastic opening batsmen pair of Indian team, Sachin Tendulkar & Sourav Ganguly are the seventh in this record. On 23 February 2003, they recorded the seventh highest partnership of 244 runs in world cup cricket at 2nd wicket partnership. They were playing against Namibia at Pietermaritzburg during the 25th Match. The Indians won the match by 181 runs.
