He has scored 944 runs with an average of 37.76. Gayle is the first batsman to score a double century in the world cup.

Mohammad Hafeez – 38 years – Pakistan

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is 38 years old and the third oldest playing in this world cup 2019. Earlier, he represented Pakistan in 2007 and 2011. Hafeez has scored 230 runs with an average of 25.55 and took 11 wickets in ten world cup matches.

MS Dhoni – 37 years – India

The former skipper of the Indian team, captain cool MS Dhoni is 37 years old and has played at 2007, 2011 & 2015 WC. World Cup 2019 is his 4th-time participation. In his 20 world cup matches, Dhoni has scored 507 runs with an average of 42.25.

Shoaib Malik – 37 years – Pakistan

Another experienced Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik is 37 years old. So far he has featured in just one world cup tournament in 2007. This is his second tournament. Malik played three matches where he scored 92 runs with an average of 30.66 and also took one wicket.

Jeevan Mendis – 36 years – Sri Lanka

The 36-year-old Jeevan Mendis is featuring in his second Cricket World Cup this year. Previously, the Sri Lankan cricketer participated in World Cup 2015 where he played two matches. In that tournament, Mendis scored 13 runs and also picked up two wickets.

Hashim Amla – 36 years – South Africa

Another South African cricketer HashimAmla playing at this tournament is 36 years old. The Proteas cricketer has already participated in two world cups in 2011 and 2015. The right-handed opening batsman has played 15 matches in the previous tournaments where he has scored 639 runs with an average of 42.60.
