As the saying goes – “the smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.”, it should be remembered that even if you give up a tiny piece of cloth for the betterment of a person, then surely, it’s a noble deed. Cricketers believe in being philanthropic through out their lives. Although the concept of fantasy cricket game is really profitable, however there’re very few who walks into the philanthropic footsteps of their idol cricketers.  

Since the game of cricket involves a lot of money, hence giving away a little amount doesn’t hurt much. The world would be a less miser and more equality will prevail if the rich stops getting richer and try to contribute more for the poorer.

Imran Khan 

Pakistan’s first and the only cancer hospital has been established by Imran Khan. He has dedicated his modern technology equipped hospital to his mother’s name. Along with his own funds, he has successfully collected $25 million funds globally. He is also an active member of UNICEF. There’s very less cricketers who have done something good for the underprivileged people of their own country and Khan is one among them! Although he might not be a part of online fantasy games, however, his name is engraved in the hearts of many for this noble deed.  

Glenn McGrath 

Very sadly McGrath’s wife died of breast cancer at the tender age of 31 years. And this shock made him realize that Australian women definitely need a cancer support healthcare facility. This initiative was taken by McGrath to help the ones who can’t afford the expensive treatment that this disease asks for. Playing fantasy cricket might’ve been more interesting if this versatile and warm-hearted man was still a part of Australian cricket team.

Like McGrath, Ponting took the initiative of opening the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA) in 2002 that offered help for the children who were suffering from this disease. With his high-end profile, Ponting was able to get a lot of funding for the hospital. He is quiet a popular name among the fantasy game fraternity and same is his reputation among the global fan base. Thus, he used his influence to get hold of quiet a bunch of money that he used for the oncology hospital.

YouWeCan is the foundation that is a very noble initiative taken by this Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. From the early stage of his career, Yuvi has been very focused about doing charity at large. Later in his career he was affected with cancer and as soon as he started his journey, he decided to set for the foundation in order to help others fight this terminal disease. Millennials playing fantasy cricket in India always search for Yuvi even now when he has retired from cricket!  

Mahela Jayawardene 

Like the others mentioned on this list, even Jayawardene chose to work for the cancer patients. He has not only tried to help the people financially but has also been present emotionally in different gatherings to ease the sufferings of the cancer patients. His works are not yet over. He is also planning to build the first ever cancer hospital in Colombo. Kudos to the initiatives taken by this man!  

Sachin Tendulkar 

Last but not the least, the little mast of Indian cricket has always made it to the news for his unlimited numbers of philanthropic activities. He is a part of an NGO, sponsors education and sports of under privileged children, gives money for treatment and healthcare services. He is also the pioneer for many social campaigns and a very known face when it comes to any noble deed. Although he is not a part of fantasy cricket leagues nowadays but his charm will stay on forever.
