5 Tips to Make Money from Fantasy Cricket App

If you are new to the fantasy cricket world, you will be wondering how a fantasy cricket app works and how to win money through it.

You just need to do 3 things to play fantasy cricket:

  • Choose an upcoming match and create a team of 11 best players from both teams
  • Deposit money and join some contests using your team
  • After the match starts, track your contest leader board and see if your team wins

Use the app that permits team modification after toss

Most daily fantasy cricket platforms close the contest entries 1 hour before the official match start time. So you cannot be sure about the playing XI of both the teams. Because the toss is usually done only 30 minutes before start time, you will have more chances to predict the best players. So try 11Wickets which allows you to modify your team until the match starts. Also, after the toss, you will know which team is going to bat first. So based on this, you will be able to guess the opening players and bowlers and can select the best combination of players.

Join small but confirmed contests

If you are joining a large contest, the chances of reaching Rank 1 and hence winning that big amount is very low. To win money easily and with more chances, try joining small contests with 10 or 20 members. It is easier to beat 9 other members when compared to big number of members. Also check if the contest is a confirmed contest. So the contest will run even when it is not filled.

Understand the points system

Every online fantasy cricket platform/app has different points structure. Some of them give more points to Batting points such as runs, fifties etc., some give more weightage to bowling points such as wickets, maiden over, etc., Some of the apps give a balanced points system between batting, bowling and fielding. Depending on the match and app’s point’s structure, choose appropriate players.

Select your power players wisely

Most apps allow marking two players as Captain and Vice-Captain. If a normal player scores 10 points, the same player if marked as captain, will get 2x points and vice-captain gets 1.5x points. So you have to think a lot before marking a player as captain or vice-captain. Look at the recent performances of these players and make a decision.

 Refer & Earn

11Wickets have a referral program. Share your referral link to your friends. As soon as your friends join the app and start playing, you will get free money. This is the best way to earn money without playing.

Tale Of The Longest Cricket Match

Cricket has its own grandeur amongst all other sports and this grandeur shows up more and more in the fantasy cricket league. The understanding of cricket’s rich history is thrilling as well as knowledgeable.

Are you just planning to sit down with one of your online fantasy cricket to play and enjoy? Make your team and read this interesting tale till the real match starts. We are sure you will find this post interesting and full of unknown facts. Just read on:

The game played between South Africa and England at the historic Kingsmead, Durban. The game started on Friday 3 March and it ended 14 March 1939, after 43 hours and 16 minutes of play, 1,981 runs, and 5,447 balls. After all that, it still lacked the one thing it supposed to have – a winner. England needed 41 runs to win. But the match had drawn because the English players had to leave to catch their boat back to England. The match included 9 days of play spread over 12 days due to torrential showers.

Due to the draw result, and the length of this match, it is over and over again referring as the ‘timeless’ test. And the only one of its type in history.

The Concept of a Timeless Test

A timeless test is alike to modern test cricket, with the exception of the fact that there are no time constraints. Both sides of the team carry on playing the match until one side wins or the match gets tied.

There have been 99 timeless Tests played between the years 1877 to 1939. The last match was fifth test match of South Africa and England. The match was not expected to be played more than 5 days but it went on to 12 days d and its duration became the longest on record in the history of cricket.

South African team and England shared an intense rivalry even then in the 1930s. The 5 match series was 1 – 0 in the favour of the visitors. This was the last opportunity for the South African team to make the series a tie against the mighty England team.

An Incredible Match of Cricket

Hello to all the lovers of fantasy cricket! Are you playing your favourite fantasy sports at your free time? We hope you are!

It is said as much as it fun to watch any cricket match, it is also the same fun to play fantasy cricket and to know about different historical tales about the sport. So are you up to listen a tale dated back to 1900 and linked to Olympics?

Read on then:

Being an ardent fan of cricket, which we are sure you are, you may know that cricket is not considered as an athletic sport. Olympic motto is ‘Faster, Higher, Stronger’. But cricket do not cut this deal of Olympics and hence there is a huge debate about the inclusion of cricket.

But in 1900, a cricket tournament was played as part of the 1900 Summer Olympics. The match took place on 19–20 August at the Vélodrome de Vincennes. The only match of the tournament was played between teams France and Great Britain., Great Britain won the match by 158 runs.

In the 1896 Summer Olympics, cricket had been scheduled as an event at the first modern Olympics. Cricket was being listed in the original programme for the Athens Games then. The event got cancelled due to an insufficient number of entries.

Again four years later, at the Paris Games, there was also a shortage of entries. Belgium and the Netherlands, who for a time had been regarded as possibilities to co-host the Olympics with France, opted out from the cricket tournament when their co-hosting bids fell through.

The somewhat random nature of the cricket tournament was mirrored all through the rest of the 1900 Olympics. Events took place all the way through a six-month period from May through until October.

Taking part in Olympics

Initially, cricket teams representing Belgium, France, Great Britain, and the Netherlands were scheduled to compete in that tournament of Olympics. Belgium and the Netherlands pulled out of the tournament, leaving Great Britain to play with France. Neither France nor Great Britain was nationally selected. The cricket team of Great Britain was a touring club, the Devon and Somerset Wanderers also known as Devon County Wanderers, while the French cricket team, the French Athletic Club Union, included mainly British emigrants living in Paris.

The match was of two-day, which began on 19th August 1900. The team of Great Britain batted first and scored 117, and bowled France out for 78. In their second innings, Great Britain then scored 145 for 5, giving the hosts a target of 185. The tourists bowled out France at 26 runs to win the match by 158 runs, a noteworthy margin. Interestingly, it was only five minutes of the match remaining, when the Great Britain won the match.

The Great Britain cricket team was awarded silver medals and the French team bronze medals, jointly with miniature statues of the Eiffel Tower. The match was officially recognised as being an Olympic contest in 1912, and the medals were later reassigned as gold and silver.

Isn’t this an interesting tale to know?

Happy reading and enjoy your fantasy games!

But then came a moment of folly as Haq tried to play a daring shot to seal victory against Indian pacer Joginder Sharma in the final over. The ball went high into the waiting hands of Sreesanth. Indian team led by MS Dhoni celebrated as Haq missed the chance of a lifetime.
