Limitation on number of players

As the name goes, in box cricket, the pitch is short in length and since its under an artificial field, hence accommodating all 11 years becomes difficult. So, you can easily start the game with 6-6 or 8-8 players each. Since, things are not very formal in these matches, hence both boys and girls can play the game together! Isn’t it a great opportunity! Well unlike fantasy sports its merely played because of the entertainment part.

Runs deduction process

For bowlers, box cricket has always been the worst option. It’s definitely like a night mare for them. The pitch is very less in case of box cricket hence the bowlers are not able to swing the ball effectively. Now let’s make things a bit easier then! Whenever a wicket falls a certain number of points are deducted from the batting side so that a certain number of runs can be reduced and the run rate can be managed.

Rule of dismissals

How does a cricket get dismissed in box cricket? The normal rules of dismissal are same. But since the boundary line in box cricket is very less, hence the hard hitters are not welcome in this cricket leagues. in case if you try to hit it too hard, then you may end up getting dismissed for the same. However, in case you’re focused on playing fantasy cricket in India, then selecting the ones who have hard hitting capability is more important. Because there in the live match they are the ones who will score and get points added to your leaderboard.

Ball hitting the roof net

In case of majority of the cricket boxes, the roof is generally covered with a net. This is done to make sure that the ball doesn’t go out of the roof. So, in case the player is trying to score a six and ends up hitting the ball high on the net, then what happens? It is generally considered to be a dead ball. The player gets no runs and neither is the player dismissed.

A sudden cramp in the discs, ligaments, facet joints or lower muscles can permanently end the career of a cricketer. These types of players are generally not eligible for fantasy cricket leagues. especially the fast bowlers in a team are quickly affected by this problem. The players need to ensure that the lower back doesn’t get overloaded due to bowling practice.

Ankle injury

A sprained ankle will keep the cricketer away from the game for a long time. The soft tissues around the ankle areas may get twisted while running and that will definitely put the player at rest! Again, a good warm up exercise is helpful for the players in this case. More importantly taking the help of physiotherapists for the purpose of ankle exercises will also be helpful in the long run.

Abdominal pain

Just as the bowler bows down to bowl, he might end up getting a cramp on his abdominal side. Thus, flexible and less weighted players are more preferrable for playing fantasy cricket games.

Thus, it was always in his blood. By embracing Buddhism, he decided to change his name. Indeed, a fun fact for the fantasy sports lover!

Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi

The well-known cricketer who was popularly called Tiger Pataudi was initially not called as Mansur. He was actually by birth the Junior Nawab of Pataudi family and hence by ritual was known as Nawab of Pataudi Junior. He became the youngest captain of the Indian cricket team in 1961 and for 10 years he played with this name. After that to abide by the changing government rules, he changed his name to Mansur. Since then, this dashing batsman made a special place in the hearts of millions of fans.

Mohammad Yousuf

Although he played for Pakistan, however from Muslim he converted to Christianity and also changed his name. Till 2005 he was known as Yousuf Youhana. Fantasy Cricket Games – 4 Talented Cricketers Overshadowed by Popular Teammates

Looking back at the history of cricket, it is very clear that over the years there have been cricketers whose popularity had been overshadowed to some extent by another brilliant contemporary player in the team! Although there’s no doubt about the competency of any of them, however sometimes the other one takes up the limelight!

Call it bad luck or unfair turn of events, in spite of winning millions of hearts, some these cricketers have never quiet been able to come out of the shadows. However, while playing fantasy cricket, popularity doesn’t matter. It’s the performance of the players that will help you win cash in such online fantasy games.

Brian Lara vs Shivnarine Chanderpaul

Whenever discussion crops up regarding these two players, there’s always a debate regarding who is better! One is a master class performer, while the other is the most attentive player in the team. Lara managed to pull out thousands of runs effortlessly. However, the same cant be commented about Chanderpaul. He might have been having lots of runs in his bucket, however he was not a pleasing batsman. Rather in comparison to Lara, he was a more consistent player. Alas, his consistency was overshadowed by Lara’s terrific performance.

Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma

This debate is a controversial one. The fan base of Virat Kohli is equal to that of Rohit Sharma. However, for non-cricket fans Virat Kohli is more popular than Rohit Sharma. Popularity is the kick word here! If you judge them on the basis of their performance, then it’s very difficult to assign the number 1 position to either of them. Again, like the all-other couples mentioned in this list, Virat is a more striking player and fastest scorer in comparison to Rohit. Rohit on the other hand is a consistent one. So, despite being almost at par with Kohli, Sharma’s talent has always been overshadowed.

Sachin Tendulkar vs Rahul Dravid

The dependable man – whenever you see the Karnataka cricketer in the Indian team, you will surely relate this title with him. Rahul Dravid was undoubtedly the most consistent player in the team and the burden of getting Indian team out from any tricky situation rested completely on this cool-headed player. However, that was the time when India also got one of the finest cricketers of the lot – Sachin Tendulkar. With 100 international centuries to his name, Sachin’s performance overshadowed the likes of many! Rahul Dravid being one of them! Fantasy cricket in India would have attained more popularity if they would have been playing presently.

Dale Steyn vs Morne Morkel

Steyn was the most aggressive, consistent and highest-ranked bowler of the test matches. His bowling ability has taken him up to the greatest heights in his career. However, in that same team, Morne Morkel was also performing as one of the best bowlers. His career graph is adorned with a lot of award-winning performances. But he was smart and didn’t let the same defeat his dream of becoming a cricketer! Since the South African team lacks good quality spinners, hence Tahir’s contribution into the team made him stand out in the crowd.

Kepler Wessels

Rugby was the game which was more popular than cricket in Africa. Kepler Wessels was an exceptional African who preferred playing cricket and not rugby.
